What is D8 Dice Roller?

It is an 8 Sided Dice, also known as the Octahedron Shaped die, usually used in Dungeons and Dragons. The d8 on each face of the die is triangular & the die resembles two square pyramids attached to a base-to-base commonly used for damage done by larger weapons. It is one of several standard polyhedral dice used in gaming. A D8 dice is with rounded corners and approximately 16mm-5/8in size it's in white with no pips or numbers.

D8 is made up of 8 triangular faces, numbered 1 to 8 numbers are arranged so that the largest number(8) is on the opposite side of the smallest number (1), while the second largest is (7) and is on the opposite side of the second smallest number (2) and so on. the sum of opposite sides is always 9. D8 dice along with D6 is a combination which will damage dice in D&D as D8 is used for a hitpoint die for various classes in D&D. The first die represents the tens digit and the second die is the ones digit. Also, D6 is used for most damage rolls and some spells like Fireball and Disintegrate roll D6 So does D8 help in damage done by larger weapons. The average roll of D8 is 4.5.

D8 is an 8-sided Octahedron which often used for damage done by larger weapons in tabletop role-playing games like D&D and games of chance.

D8 Dice Probability

Rolling 1 D8 Dice Probability

The formula you use is: For the odds of rolling a specific number such as for D8 die, this gives: probability= 1/8= 0.125. Probabilities are given as numbers between 0 and 1 certainty, but you can multiply this by 100 to get a percentage. So the chance of rolling an 8 on a single die is 12.5%. There are 5 ways and 36 possible outcomes. The mathematical Probability of rolling one D8 dice is 5/36 (13.889%).

Rolling 2 D8 Dice Probability

When the Rolling of 2 D8 dice occurs, the probabilities are still simple to work out. If you want to know the likelihood of getting two 8s when you roll two dice, you should always find the individual probabilities, just because the result of one die doesn't depend on the result of the other die. This will leave with two separate one-in-eight chances. For rolling matching numbers like two 8s, you have two 1/8 chances. It will result in probability= 1/8 x 1/8= 1/64 to get the numerical or mathematical result, the final division is 1/64= 0.0156 as the percentage is 1.56%.

Also, the probability for two outcomes is= The Number of desired outcomes/ The Number of possible outcomes= 2/64=0.0312. As a percentage, this is 3.12%.

Rolling 3 D8 Dice Probability

For rolling Two or more than two let's now consider rolling 3 D8 dices probability as we know there are three ways to get the outcome desired. As before, there are 64 possible outcomes. The probability= The Number of desired outcomes/ The Number of possible outcomes= 1/8 x 1/8 x 1/8= 1/512 to get the numerical or mathematical result, the final division is 1/512= 0.0019 as a percentage, for rolling 3 D8 dice probability is 0.19%.
